:star-empty: Do NOT use this.

:bulletpink: The eyes were my biggest struggle, so I ended up using the stye from "After Rain".
:bulletblue: This is my first time creating such a large pixel and so many different pixels at once.

I love this a lot, ads;kfsad

It relieves me to see that it took you so long to do, because it seems like a lot of people do large pixels in just three or four hours and it's like... it takes me two to four hours to do a pixel icon. Doing a large doll like this would take six or eight at least.

I'm not great at all at shading clothing on such a large piece. x_x

You make me want to do one of these for myself. :3 I don't like pixelling or drawing myself, though. I'm very plain. Do you really look/dress like that?

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it! :tighthug:

Indeed, I know what you mean! I normally just make the little 50x50 pixels, aside from my profile backgrounds, so this was a humongous step out of my comfort zone. But I have to get practice somehow! I figure that the more I pixel, the better I'll get at choosing colors and understanding how the Hell shading works.

I've noticed pixel artists seem to use a four or five-color shading system, so that's what I've been trying to test out. I usually use a same-hue palette, but they encourage a hue-changing palette which is... confusing...

If you do end up drawing one of these then I wish you the ultimate best of luck! If you need to use mine as a reference, it's not the best, but feel free!

Well, I have fingers and toes, but... :P Visualization (New Year's Eve 2011; a year ago...): [link]

For the pixel, I was trying to create my persona. I don't know if this is the final version or not. I chose my favorite clothes which are long-sleeved shirts and black nylons/tights. I have a headband similar to that, but it falls more to the left at a tilt. And then I threw the skirt on for adorability's sake. I do own an outfit similar to this, except the poofy pink skirt is lacy shorts and the bow matches them. ^_^

Four or five-colour shading system? I don't think I quite understand!

I used to shade with a same-hue palette, but when I started this account I tried changing that up in the way you mentioned and I think it works really nicely. It was hard to get used to at first!

I didn't mean to take so long to reply. XD

Let's see... I didn't phrase that too well. I just mean, it seems like a lot of pixel avatar creators use about four or five colors (I.E. There'll be the main color, the light color, the outline color and then two shading colors.) I used to use three: main, outline and light.

Indeed! I'm trying really hard to get accustomed to it!

No, I completely understand. I try to reply to all of my comments, but I often delay my responses a few days to a week. D:
